Trouble with The Hero's Challenge
I have beaten almost every quest in Guild Wars but this one still remains and it bothers me. The Hero's Challenge I've attempted many times to no avail. If any of you guys out there have beaten this mission, could you please point me in the right direction? Any special strategies/spells/secrets that would help with this quest?
Thanks in advance.

What exactly seems to be the problem? I did it with henchies and only tough part was getting through all these Stone Summit around the end - but with some luring, it was doable. And "boss" itself is not a challenge.

I just finished this quest RIGHT now.
First you got to get to copper hammer mines,
After that, enter the area, its actually a city, and then go back out again.
Now you kill the first mob , and then watch the witch start walking . After that you should stay on the first bridge, set traps, and slowly lure groups across the bridge then AOE. It takes long but its much safer, as there is like 40 + Stonesummit that chase you. After you clear that part, you find the witch and talk to her, and she walks into a dead end. You watch the speech and then you collect your "reward" somewhat..

i've do it easly with 3 different characters (a Mo/Mes a El/N and a W/Mo) and always with Henchman.
You just need to watch mobs movement and lure small groups.
ps I've helped others to do it, and it's the only times i've failed it. It's important to attack only the good groups and don't rush.

Ok. Ill try this one with henchies then and just take it more slowly. Thanks.
I dunno why I'm having a problem with this quest.

Good luck. I've completed this with henchmen only with two different characters. The party got wiped out once with one character, but with my second I was more thoughtful about who I pulled and managed it without any deaths in the party.

I actually run in with henchies, and aggro every stone summit I can, and bring them to the rez shrine. Then, I go afk for an hour, or so. When I come back, the henchies will have killed them all, however slowly. Sounds sarcastic, but it works. At this point, you just go kill her, and even with 60DP, she's a breeze.

I actually avoided all the mobs except one near the beginning. The mobs won't attack her during her walk to the spot, so you don't need to worry about her. Just stay out of aggro and you'll be fine. She's easy as hell too.

I did it with henchies just the other day, it was easy.
I killed a lot of the monsters before I got to the person I was meant to talk to.

There's a trick to this quest, don't come near Sanyi(the witch person) and kill the mobs this way. Her presence makes a few monsters appear and lures some of the Stone summit to her (when she stops midway), making it impossible to pass.

I just got a good party and did it the two times I've run thru the game. Tip: put the party together yourself and kick anyone who sounds like they're...well, kids. It may sound pretty prejudiced, but that's just a rule I follow.

That's a good point. Once you're at 60DP you've got nothing to lose. You can't get any lower.

Yeah, I spent about an hour with henchmen fighting through the huge mobs. DP Was about 60 by the time we got maybe 2/5ths of the way to coppermines. The only real annoying part is running back to the same area, not to mention you need to pray that your henchmen not be stuck/retarded, or else those are 2 things you'll have to worry about. Near the end, with the huge stone summit mob, i just did pretty much what Minwanbi did except I didn't go afk, it took about 4 ressurects to kill 3 mobs of stone summit and 2 mobs of blessed griffons, the fight itself against that phantom boss dude wasn't as difficult... Of course, there really isn't a "Difficult" area in a explorable area with 2 healer hench, it just might be time consuming. Try to build up your patience and remind yourself of the sweet 15 attribute point rewards before attempting, it might help.
